With deep respect, I acknowledge the Lenape (Lenni-Lenape) people as the original stewards of the land now known as New York. I honor their enduring connection to this land and pay respect to Elders past, present, and emerging. I also give gratitude to Indigenous cultures around the world whose wisdom and medicine continue to guide us toward healing, balance, and right relationship with the Earth and one another.
